I purchased this for the office and the resolution is so bad that you could not make out any words from a powerpoint presentation. It may be fine for low resolution kids movies but has no redeeming quality for any work purposes.

Great product- Very impressed with the technology and product- I wonder in a year if this might be the next”killer” product in the market.

This is not really for laptops. The documentation is vague and customer service is nonexistent; voice menu allows for new purchases or tracking orders. Mac users be warned: You have to figure out how to take a digital image, make it analog, and then get it into the Swivel. Instead of listing the PC models/Mac models with which it will work, you get vague references to other ‘cables’ and the link takes you to the Apple store. I spent 45 minutes with an on-line chat cust. service rep at Apple who was confused and dazed by at all; in the end, they sent me back to Swivel central who, as I stated, have yet to respond with any useful information. And the user manual is minimalist with vague, lousy drawings of the cable parts. No I can’t get anyone to respond to the refund phase of this bad deal, and Amazon won’t touch it since I got it from [. . . ] who does not include a mailing label or other contact data . Not good.

I’ve dreamed of having a projector in my living room for a long time now – problem is, it continued to be a dream because I already have WAY too much stuff in my small, city apartment. I couldn’t justify getting more bulky electronics to fill the little free space I have left.
I saw the Cinemin in Oprah Magazine earlier this month and I was immediately sold. It’s like a DVD player you can carry around. . . in your pocket! I was stoked. For the last week or so, I have been enamored with this gadget’s ability to make me more comfortable than I’ve ever been while watching anything on a screen. My boyfriend and I are adamant about our Dexter and Californication dates each week, but by the time we have come home from work, gone to the gym, eaten dinner, and showered, it’s pretty late. These days, we actually get in bed, ready to sleep, and watch Dexter’s evil schemes or Hank Moody’s outlandish escapades play out on the ceiling above the bed as we fall asleep.
I don’t think I’ve ever considered myself an early adopter, but this device is one that I had to snatch up the minute it was released. I’m an avid traveler, so the in-between times on a trip, on-board a train from city to city or mid-air crossing the Atlantic (and stuck with the latest horrendous Jennifer Aniston flick as our in-flight movie) are going to be wonderful times to use the Cinemin. I’m looking forward to it.

This projector is more novelty than functional tool. Apparently designed specifically with an iPod in mind it can’t be used with a laptop without an additional adapter. . . that is impossible to find or purchase anywhere (including on Amazon. com). The company lists the adapter on their website as on “backorder” and the folks at Radio Shack had nothing to offer that would allow you to connect the device with a computer (which was a first for me). If all you’re looking to do is show iPod/iPhone videos to people it’s useful enough but as stated frequently in other reviews, the illumination is so low that you better have a very dark room if you want to be able to see anything. I had hoped to use this piece for business but with the inability to connect it to a laptop decided to return it. There are better pocket projectors out there that offer enough flexibility for business use. This projector is not one of them.
