  1. My elementary school daughter has a learning disability in reading and this helps her check spelling and definitions of words. I recommend this product. It’s appropriate for school and home use. It works with her own earphones if she needs to use the audio function in a public place.

  2. This product works very well for my daughter. It gives her more confidence in her writing ability. She can enter words she is not sure how to spell and it offers her word suggestions. This saves her having to ask friends or her teachers. I can enter her spelling and vocab words each week. She is able to look up definitions right on the dictionary. Great Product. The only drawback would be that sometimes the words she enters, it can not offer her suggestions for; based on the fact that her spelling is not close enough. That can sometimes be frustrating for her.

  3. I ordered this talking dictionary to keep in my teacher’s bag as I travel throughout the school district. When a student asks me how to spell a word, I just hand him or her this dictionary. It’s operation is intuitive to a second or third grader and older and they love it! The definitions are short and written for kids. It had a volume adjustment and corrections for phonetic spelling. They look forward to my arriving with the “cool dictionary. ” Great tool for teachers, substitute teachers and parents alike. Very highly recommended!

  4. My kid goes to speach therapy. This helps him pronounce/practice words that are difficult for him.
In class he participates more because now he can pronounce more words, his homework is more enjoyable because he is able to search for new words.
Speach therapy is not only about being able to pronounce but also undestand the meaning of the words, if not then he is just memorizing the words without knowing the meaning of them.
The spell checker of word suggestion is good because now I can understand what he is trying to say, when it is too difficult for him to pronounce he looks it up.

  5. My granddaughter struggles with her reading and it gets frustrating to have to help her with every other word that she sees. Now she can type the word in and it tells her the word. This is giving her the independence to do her homework by herself. She loves it and so does the rest of the family. LOVE IT!
